We made it!!!!

We have finally made it!! I have to say that the trip was not as bad as I thought it would be. Wayne would probably have a different opinion, but it really wasn’t that bad. We were met at the airport by Hasan, one of our interpreters, and a driver that did not speak English. On our way to the hotel, it started to snow and it snowed much of the day, very beautiful. Something these southern folks don’t get to see a lot of. We were able to shower and spent most of the day sleeping. Which is probably the reason it’s 1 am here and I can not sleep, although my dear husband is not having any problems with that. Our hotel is nice and has a restaurant, they have English speaking staff but their English is very limited and makes it hard to communicate. We tried twice today to buy an I-card which is your source for international calls and the internet, but struck out each time, will try again tomorrow. We also found out that there is a coffee house about 5 minutes from here that has wireless internet, that may be our best option for internet service. We were able to meet the Little Miracles Adoption Coordinator for Kazakhstan today, her name is Marina, she is very sweet and pretty. She also remembered Richard and Marieta and asked about Arden, we were very glad to share with her that Arden is such a beautiful little girl and now is expecting a baby brother, Marina sends her love and also from Olga and her staff. We also got to meet our local adoption coordinator who is Aigul, she is a lawyer and will handle the whole adoption process, she does not speak English so you have to have an interpreter to be able to communicate with her, but she is also very nice. Marina and Aigul spent some time with us today explaining what to expect from the process and what to expect tomorrow when we get to go to the babyhouse to meet “Berick”. We have so many mixed emotions about tomorrow, we are nervous, excited and down right scared. They told us the visit tomorrow would be a short one, so we don’t overwhelm him, we just hope he likes us and doesn’t cry too much when he meets us. By the way at the airport today, we met two American couples that were coming to pick up their kids, they will be able to get custody of them on Christmas eve and will likely get to go home by the end of the week, what an awesome gift from God. Well I better go and try to get some sleep before our big day.
